The 2021-2022 Black and Latinx Birders Scholarship Recipients Have Been Selected.

The Black and Latinx Birders Scholarship Committee has chosen the 2021-2022 recipients. 

Amplify the Future is delighted to announce that the Black and Latinx Birders Scholarship Committee has chosen the 2021-2022 scholarship recipients.

There was a high volume of applications this cycle, the first cycle as a nationwide scholarship, and the committee selected five recipients. All applicants have been invited to join the Amplify the Future applicant community and will be eligible for internships, experiences, and scholarships from participating partners.

The 2021-2022 Black and Latinx Birders Scholarship recipients:

  • Alondra Del Mar Norat-Perez, Environmental Science, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
  • Calvin Keeys, Environmental Science, Drexel University.
  • Fana Scott, Biology and Environmental Studies, Eckerd College.
  • D’Juan Moreland, Biology B.S., Music Composition, University of Maryland Baltimore County.
  • Kyla Dangerfield, Biology, University of California Santa Barbara.
